Precision Dentistry

At Fletcher Hills Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Center, we are committed to using the latest advancements in dental technology to elevate the quality, precision, and comfort of your care. Here’s how our state-of-the-art tools make a difference:

Microscope Precision

Dentistry is a form of micro-surgery, and we use high-power microscopes to ensure unparalleled precision in every procedure. Similar to ophthalmologists, we rely on microscopes to achieve incredibly accurate dental surgeries. The enhanced visibility provided by the microscope, along with its focused beam of light, minimizes glare and allows us to perform intricate procedures that would be impossible with the naked eye.

Electric Handpieces

While many dentists use air-driven handpieces (commonly known as “drills”), these tools can produce vibrations and lack the smooth rotation necessary for the most precise procedures. For all our surgical treatments, we use electric handpieces, which deliver smoother, quieter, and more accurate performance. This ensures exceptionally precise surgical procedures allowing for optimal results, better long-term outcomes, and significantly greater comfort throughout the procedure and beyond.

Digital Imaging

Dr. Gadler carefully selects when to use radiographs, following strict guidelines to ensure you receive the most accurate diagnostic information. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Digital imaging allows us to detect hidden cavities, assess bone health, and examine the roots and nerves of teeth. It also aids in diagnosing cysts, tumors, and trauma-related damage.

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. With digital imaging, radiation exposure is reduced by up to 50% compared to traditional X-rays, and the results are immediately available on a computer monitor for better clarity and precision. Additionally, digital images are easily stored, transferred to specialists, and shared with insurance companies.

Digital X-Rays:

Our digital X-rays offer superior precision by displaying images directly on a computer screen, eliminating the need for film. This method exposes you to just 1/6th of the radiation of traditional X-rays, ensuring a safer and more efficient diagnostic process.

Laser Dentistry

This cutting-edge technology uses focused light energy that travels at varying wavelengths, targeting specific tissues such as gum tissue. Laser dentistry treats soft tissue issues with remarkable precision.

Unlike traditional surgical instruments, lasers produce no vibration, significantly enhancing comfort during the procedure. For soft tissue surgeries, lasers can completely eliminate the need for sutures, promoting faster healing and reducing recovery time.

Laser Surgery offers a more comfortable, effective, and minimally invasive approach to dental care, improving both the experience and the outcome for patients.

Areas of dental care that benefit from laser technology:

  • Reduction of excess gum tissue around implants
  • Curing, or hardening, bonding materials
  • Periodontal, or gum related, care
  • Pediatric procedures
  • Apthous Ulcer treatment (canker sore)
  • Frenectomy (tongue-tie release) without anesthesia or sutures
  • Crown lengthening, gingivectomy and other gum corrections

Dental lasers have been shown to be safe and effective for treating both children and adults.

Intraoral Camera

Our Intraoral Camera technology helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis by capturing clear, detailed images of your mouth, teeth, and gums with a very small camera that is just a few millimeters long. These images are displayed on a screen, allowing you to see areas that might be missed during a standard exam. With this technology, we can provide quicker, more accurate diagnoses, and minimize your time in the chair. Intraoral cameras also enable our practice to save your images in our office computer to provide a permanent record of treatments. These images can be printed for you, other specialists, labs, or insurance companies for a fully comprehensive experience.

Cone Beam CT Scanner

Our state of the art, cutting edge, in-house CT scanner, having resolution better than most hospital CT scanners, allows us to image dental and facial anatomical structures in extremely precise detail never before available at far less radiation. This technology rapidly allows us to plan surgical procedures in great detail making for far safer and efficient surgeries which leads to vastly reduced complications, less pain and recovery time and far better results. Also, we can easily share this CBCT information with your referring doctor or any other medical professional.
