Fletcher Hills Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Center
We understand that every person is unique. We tailor our treatment and delivery of care to everyone as an individual so all of their needs are met without being over treated, undertreated or breaking their bank. In most cases, we believe the patient should decide their desired method of Anesthesia – Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas), Intravenous Sedation or General Anesthesia.
We treat every patient as if they are family – the way we’d want to be treated, so they have the very best experiences & outcomes possible. Individualized care, optimized to deliver optimal results in the most comfortable, cost-effective way every single time.
Why Should You Only Allow A Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon To Place Your Implants Or Remove Your Wisdom Teeth
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certification requires up to 6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Gadler treats a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Gadler practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. He can also diagnose and treat oral pathologic conditions, facial injuries, infections and many other oral/facial disorders.
Dr. Gadler is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who has placed over 20,000 implants in his almost 30 years of practice. To become an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon a dental student must graduate in the top 5% of their dental class. In Dental school those that go on to become Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, had to be better at doing crowns, fillings, cleanings, dentures, root canals – everything.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons go to 4 – 7 more years of residency / school / training to become competent in all aspects of surgery of the mouth, head and neck. The training is intense and gives them the skills and cognitive ability to perform procedures that all other dentists simply are not qualified to do. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons are the experts in dental implants, wisdom teeth, bone grafts and all other oral surgical procedures.
Most people do not know that general dentists, prosthodontists, cosmetic dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and endodontists have none or almost no dental school training in removing wisdom teeth or placing implants. Yet, their licenses enable them to do them. Weekend courses will never substitute for a 4-7 year residency and will never make someone proficient. Dr Gadler places between 500 and 1000 implants per year. He does them nearly every day. Ask your dentist per year how many implants they place.
Imagine yourself as a patient never going to dental school (takes 3-4 years of training) and trying to do dentistry. How would that turn out? YouTube anyone?
You wouldn’t go to your family doctor or a dermatologist for a heart transplant so why would you go to a dentist who didn’t go through a 4-7 year surgical residency to learn how to properly do implants?
Like my Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery colleagues across the country, a good portion of my practice is removing and replacing implants placed by dentists who are not board certified in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
These cases are never easy. The patients have spent considerable amounts of money, time, pain and grief. Many end up abandoned by their dentist and come to me to help them. Once that happens, it’s a long and costly road for everyone involved.
If your dentist is recommending implants for you please come and see me first. Frequently my fees are less than the non OMS certified dentists placing them.
