Meet Dr. Nicholas Gadler, DDS

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in El Cajon, CA

Dr. Nicholas Gadler was born & raised right here in San Diego County. He graduated from St. Martin’s Academy, Helix High School, and San Diego State University before earning his dental degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors and ranked top of his class. Dr. Gadler completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Houston, Texas, where his extensive training covered all aspects of facial surgery, including Cosmetic Facial surgery, Trauma & Facial Skeletal surgery, Reconstructive surgery, Wisdom Tooth & other complex tooth extractions, Complex Implant planning & placement and surgical treatment of pathological conditions. His training also included a highly regarded surgical externship in Aarhus, Denmark. Dr. Gadler became Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2000. Dr. Gadler is also Board Certified in Anesthesiology and is an active member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology.

With over 29 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Gadler has tirelessly worked to develop and refine surgical techniques to ensure that his patients benefit not only from aesthetic improvements but also experience less trauma and faster recovery times. Dr. Dr. Gadler remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field by consistently investing time and resources to explore and innovate the latest techniques, technology and medications available. As a result, the overwhelming majority of Dr. Gadler’s patients report minimal swelling and pain with recovery times of just 1-2 days after wisdom teeth removal.

The Fletcher Hills Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Center is a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed with patient care and comfort in mind. In addition to being equipped with the latest surgical equipment and instruments, the center features specially designed and contoured memory foam chairs that offer panoramic views for patients during treatment.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Gadler enjoys writing music, fishing, camping, traveling with his wife & 3 sons, and hiking in the mountains that he grew up exploring as a child. His office windows have beautiful views of those mountains. A lifelong music enthusiast, Dr. Gadler has pursued his love for music since his days in Rock n’ Roll bands during high school and college. He even created a humorous Christmas music CD that received national radio play and was broadcast in dozens of countries, with his hit-song Jingle Belch reaching the charts in December 1998 ahead of U2’s “The Sweetest Thing”. He then recorded the follow-up album “Belchfest” releasing that in 2008. Both albums are available on I-tunes, Apple Music, Amazon, etc. Dr. Gadler has a home recording studio where he still continuously writes and records his original songs. He has also recorded all the songs from his first band “The Dexters” (1978-1984) and will be releasing them on I-Tunes, Apple Music, Spotify, You Tube and Amazon.

Dr Gadler is an inventor as well and has several worldwide patents. One of his inventions attracted the attention of Shark Tank and they asked him to present his WaveWrecker Wetsuit to the Sharks in season 7. Dr Gadler presented his invention to the sharks and got a handshake deal with Mark Cuban. The show never aired and a final deal was never reached. Dr Gadler is currently attempting to secure a licensing agreement with a major manufacturer for that technology.

Dr Gadler is currently working on obtaining a patent for a brand new medical device and should have that secured in 1-2 years.
